About Our Club

Reveille

Our club meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30pm

St. Mary’s Catholic Church Parish Hall from September to May

2108 Ridgewood Drive, Longview

Since 1975 Deep East Texas Aggie Moms have been coming together to help each other and to support our students with scholarships, goodie bags and hugs for finals! At our meetings we learn more about the Texas A&M University through speakers from different student organizations, A&M alumni, and our very own students and members. Our club consists of approximately 40 Aggie Moms from all of the surrounding school districts…Longview, Pine Tree, Hallsville, Spring Hill, White Oak, Kilgore, Gladewater, and more!  We are part of a much larger organization, the Federation of Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club.  The purpose of Aggie Moms’ organizations is to form connections with other women who are mothers of Aggies and are interested in supporting each other, our Aggies and Texas A&M University.

One of our goals as a club is to raise money for student scholarships. We award two scholarships to incoming freshman Aggies, and two scholarships to current Aggies.  In addition, we give the “Bobby Smith Memorial Scholarship” to a deserving engineering student. Our primary fundraiser is Aggie Mom Boutique which is held during Family Weekend in College Station.

We also assemble and distribute care packages for our students the week before finals in the Fall and Spring.  We join Aggie Mom groups from all over the state in the MSC to hand out the care packages to our students and encourage them as they approach finals week. It is a lot of fun to travel together as a group to deliver these packages and hugs to our students!
